Laura’s home in Castle Cary
It’s official, there is something called a dream customer!
When Laura purchased my wallpaper, she gave me the opportunity to photograph her insanely beautiful late C18th home, when her downstairs loo was eventually redecorated with my ‘Woodland Floor’ design.
Not only was she one of my first customers, which meant a lot in itself. Her home was the perfect place for my wallpaper to be. Her creativity in interior design, mixing vintage finds, and her confident use of colour and pattern, meant I felt confident she would make my wallpaper sing!
The final outcome is a moody, wild but cosy downstairs loo, that literally brings nature indoors. Being surrounded by foliage and greenery is a unique experience for any sitter! Unfortunately the light was so bright outside, it was actually quite a tricky room to photograph in the end as a novice photographer!
Laura combined a stunning vintage blue and white porcelain sink which was placed in a custom-built rounded corner vanity painted a complimentary dark green. She also sourced an amazing ‘Thomas Crapper’ style high-level cast metal cistern with a heritage chic wooden lid WC. The attention to detail, like the Corston Architectural brass light switch, really makes this room feel luxurious but playful at the same time. I hope you like as much as I do!
